Leonora in the target of the steam-driven gunboat

If you ever sailed the Eye or any other square rigger, you may remember the trouble and sometimes all hands on deck manoevres when wearing or tacking. What a hustle! I'll never understand why the guys shouting commands around never took the easy way one can observe in the film: The captain wants to hide his ship behind a peninsula. So all he has to do was laying the helm at the right moment. You see: It's not even two people really being busy!

Leonora under attack. It looks pretty much like the explosion that destroyed the Northumberland in Blue Lagoon, but I suppose it's arranged like this for the sake of the ship. They simply didn't pay enough really to harm a truely existing and well preserved vessel...

Then, the gunfight for heroes begins

Thank god, on a sailing vessel there are always lots of loose lines hanging around. These some 8 ones are dangeling down between the masts - just right to enter the enemy.
