This video was first filmed in 16mm, then copied to DVD, which provides a much better quality than TV. From the DVD, it was transformed to MPEG2, which makes larger screens than an normal TV-copy. Therefore, you get a better picture and - inevitably - a larger file. Unless you have broadband, downloading it will take ages. So in that case, better go to a friend with broadband or an internet café and have it burnt onto CD.


When Walter returned home, his plan was to a longer documentary about the Eye of the Wind and life in her. So he did a trailer that could provide an example for possible media partners. It shows some scenes of the beginning of the voyage in 1985 in the area around Cape York, Australia: work on deck, aloft and in the galley, sailing with stunsails set.
For different reasons, the plan failed. Still, the trailer exists and can bedownloaded by clicking the link below.
